Renee's Adoptables: Meet Jean!

Jean is quite a gal. She is a 2 year old cattle dog mix who weighs 40 pounds.

Jean has a medium to medium-high level of energy. She loves going for a good walk or run, but then settles for a nap afterward. Once Jean learns the rules of the house, she's an easy-going girl who's friendly and affectionate. She's also a smart and responsive dog who loves to learn. She would enjoy participating with her humans in activities such as agility or trick dog training. She likes the company of other dogs and children aged 12 and older. She has not been introduced to cats.

Jean is fully house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. Consistent structure and patience from her family will help her to maintain her skills.

The ideal home for Jean is one that has the time, energy, and desire to provide her with regular mental and physical exercise, training, and lots of socialization. Jean is looking to be your plus-one on outdoor family outings.

The adoption fee for Jean is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.

To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today.

About Dog Star Rescue

Dog Star Rescue, a non-profit, volunteer-run organization, is a dog rescue organization based out of the Hartford CT area. We work closely with shelters in the South as well as New England states to save the lives of loving and loyal dogs who have lost their way and find themselves on death row. Our team of wonderful volunteers get these adoptable dogs the medical and emotional care they need so they can transition into a loving forever home. To date we’ve placed over 4,000 dogs with new families.

All of our amazing volunteers are unpaid and donate their time because of their passion for helping dogs. They spend significant time each week helping guide dogs to a wonderful new life. If you ask our volunteers, they’ll tell you they do it for a wide variety of reasons, including personal satisfaction in helping address a nationwide problem, their love of dogs, and a desire to have fun socializing with like-minded people. Dog Star is always looking for new volunteers to join our group, so if you would like to be a part of our organization, please check out our Volunteer Opportunities page.
