State Tournament - Coming Down the Stretch
The State Tournament is winding down, teams are getting sent home packing and only the strong, the lucky have moved on. The Championships are a week away and yes the tournaments have had their share of surprises. Low seeds surviving to get to the Quarterfinals, maybe even the Semifinals, have already achieved more than maybe they even thought. But that is what makes these tournaments so exciting. Every time one tries to predict the outcome, more upsets occur. I'm sure there are matchups that people would love to see, but sometimes some bump in the road knocks a team out. Many times I think the Semifinals are more exciting than the Championships just because of the matchups. You hate to see certain matchups so early in the tournament because you don't like to see either team eliminated - at least that early - but that's the luck of the seeding. In any event, I'm sure as the tournaments head to the finish line - there will be excitement abound - no matter what teams are in the Championship - there always is.
