Rocker Brian Howe Dies At 66

Brit rocker Brian Howe got his first taste of fame as lead singer for Ted Nugent on Nugent's 1983 release "Penetrator," but it was when the legendary band Bad Company picked him to replace Paul Rodgers that things really took off.

I caught Howe out front with Bad Company on their first tour together in 1988 at Oakdale. He proved a force to be reckoned with live as well; a real howler. From 1988's "Dangerous Age" through "Holy Water" and "Here Comes Trouble" here came the hits, too: "No Smoke Without A Fire," "Holy Water," "How Bout That" and "If You Needed Somebody," to name a few.

Howe passed prematurely at the age of 66 of cardiac arrest.
