Human trafficking is hidden in plain sight.
The highest number of human-trafficking cases in the state are found in Fairfield County, lawyers, government officials and nonprofit leaders said at a panel discussion held exactly one year ago this week. The proximity to NY is a key factor, but that doesn't mean these young laborers aren't getting carted further up the shoreline or even deep into the CT Valley.
